The Grape – 100% Moristel.

The Style – Think fresh, think light. I hate writing tasting notes because they’re always a bit subjective and one way or another you end up sounding like a bit of a pompous arse but you can’t taste wine through the screen yet, so I have to write something. Moristel is definitely on the raspberry side of the fruit spectrum with typically Spanish rusticity and the classic Somontano cherry flavour front and centre too. While we did age the wine in barrel for a few months, we’ve kept the wine free from an overly oaky profile, preferring to focus in on the fresh fruit and let the natural zip of the grape come through.
