This is a short run of our newest white wine, Paso-Próximo Blanco. There are 7 bottles in each case to help reduce your per-bottle costs and make sure our wines are as affordable as possible.

The Blurb :

We are constantly trying to explore the potential of Somontano and push the limits of the region’s quality. Part of this project has meant re-establishing indigenous varieties and figuring out ways to unlock their idiosyncrasies to make unique wines with the Paso-drinkability. It’s a slow process, with endless trials, experiments, and micro-batch production but it’s an incredibly exciting project. Every day in the cellar feels like an opportunity, and tasting these trials encouraged us to make two wines that wouldn’t be possible anywhere else in the world. It started as a challenge to learn about our vineyards and became a quest to create something special. Local varieties that are only found in Somontano, enhanced by progressive farming and sympathetic winemaking. Everything that’s exciting about modern wine with the freedom to follow our palates.

This first, limited release under our Paso-Próximo banner is your chance to see what we’re so excited about. Two wines, one red, one white, both stylisticallly and philospohically linked, with a truck load of reasons to love them, but above all else, they’re just ridiculously drinkable.

The Details :

72% Macabeo, 28% Alcañon.

Bright, vibrant, fresh and complex. This wine has body and weight, with floral, stone fruit character from the Macabeo, which develops as it opens up in the glass. This is balanced by the citric lightness we’ve come to associate with Alcañon which gives everything direction and purpose.

To celebrate the unique release of these wines, every bottle will be unique too. Not only do our labels glow in the dark but each bottle has been sealed with a wax stamp handcrafted by members of the Paso family. We’re excited about this wine and hope it becomes a staple of the Paso-Portfolio but for now, this is the only place you can purchase these one of a kind wines.
